出席 Attendance |
10% |
(1)每次上課皆應簽到。
Students must sign their name on the attendance sheet.
(2)上課不可無故遲到或早退。遲到或早退超過十五分鐘，視同缺席一小時。
Attend the class on time. Arriving more than 15 minutes late or leaving 15 minutes early will be counted as a one-hour absence.
(3)若因故無法出席，應在上課以前寫E-mail向老師請假。每學期至多可缺席九個小時（含遲到及早退），不扣分。超過九個小時，每小時扣出席成績1分。

Notify the instructor in advance if you are unable to attend class. Students are allowed a maximum of 9 hours of excused absences (including late-coming and early-leaving). From the 10th hour on, one point will be deducted for each hour of absence.
(4)缺課的人，應在下次上課前詢問同學當天上課的內容，以及作業和小考的範圍。
If you miss a class, you should ask a classmate about what has been taught that day, what the assignment is and what is going to be covered on the dictation quiz. |
2. |
課堂表現及參與 Performance & Participation |
10% |
(1)每次上課皆須攜帶課本、講義。
Bring all the materials you are supposed to use when you come to class.
(2)上課應積極參與課堂討論，不應從事與課程無關的活動。
It is essential to participate in classroom activities and class discussion. You should not write homework or do other things unrelated to the course during class time.
(3)上課請說中文，不說其他非中文語言。

作業 Homework |
20% |
(1)應準時繳交作業，遲交該份作業成績扣10分，且應在一週內補交，超過規定時間視同未交。
All assignments must be handed in on time. 10 points will be deducted for late homework. Assignments not received within one week past the due date will receive a grade of zero.
(2)若請假，則應提前繳交作業或請同學代交，否則視同未交。
You should hand in your homework early (before the deadline) or ask a classmate to hand in your homework for you if you will be absent on the day it is due.
(3)若抄襲同學的答案或網路文章，或是找人代寫，經查證者，該份作業以0分計。
Copying other students’ work, copying and pasting from the Internet, or having another person complete work for you is prohibited and will result in a zero for the assignment.
(4)作業可以手寫，也可以用電腦打字的方式完成。

平時測驗與小考 Quizzes and Review Tests |
20% |
(1)每次上課（期中考及期末考除外）都有小考。上課鐘響就考試，遲到、請假或缺席者不補考。小考成績中，最差的五次分數將不予計算。
A quiz will be given at the start of every class (except when taking the midterm and final exams). No make-up quiz will be provided. The lowest 5 quiz scores will be dropped.
(2)每上完一課會安排一次複習考，內容為筆試（含聽力測驗）。
A review test will be given at the end of every lesson.
(3)如有作弊行為，當次考試以零分計算。 Any student who is caught cheating will receive a grade of zero on the test. |

期中考 Midterm Exam |
20% |
(1)包括筆試（含聽力測驗）及口試。
The exam consists of a listening section, a written section and an oral section.
(2)期中考將於指定日期舉行，不能補考。若因無法避免的因素無法參加考試，須提前告知老師並擇期補考，否則將以零分計算。
The midterm exam will be given only on the assigned days. There will be no make-up exam unless there are unavoidable circumstances such as serious illness, or a death in the family. If you are unable to attend the exam due to circumstances beyond your control, you must notify the instructor in advance and request an alternative exam time or date. |

期末考 Final Exam |
20% |
(1)包括筆試（含聽力測驗）及口頭報告。
The exam consists of a listening section, a written section and an oral presentation.
